Originally from New Jersey, Eddie moved to Florida in 1974.  Beginning his tennis career playing for St. Leo College and Broward Community college, he went on to build a successful coaching career South Florida.  

 

In 30 years of teaching tennis, Eddie has run camps and clinics at George English Park, Woodmont Country Club, Quadrangle Racquet Club, Hagen Park, and others in South Florida. 

 

Eddie also has many years of high-school experience. Named by the Miami Herald as "Coach of the Year" in 2003, Eddie coached both St. Thomas Aquinas and Cardinal Gibbons high schools - and won state titles in 1994 and 2003.

Charles "Beaver" Bolender

USPTA Professional

A Fort Lauderdale native, Beaver grew up playing tennis at Holiday Park and here in Pompano Beach, and had a successful junior career with appearances in state and national tournaments. He went on to play college tennis for the University of Alabama, a top-20 team.  

While teaching tennis in south Florida, he and his doubles partner won the Men's 35s USTA Clay Court National tournament in 1996. Coach Beaver is an assistant coach at Cardinal Gibbons High School, and he has many years of experience working with juniors. He holds a certificate in personal training from the International Sports Science Association, and is a USPTA certified Professional.

A south Florida native and former ATP tour player, Larry was the top junior player in the country in the 1970's, won countless National titles, and was a doubles partner of John McEnroe. 

 

A standout player at Trinity University in San Antonio, Larry was the only player ever to beat John McEnroe in his college career, in the epic "Stanford vs. Trinity" college match in 1978. 

Larry's recent teaching career includes positions at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, and the Tennis Club of Fort Lauderdale where he served as Director of Tennis.

Larry is available for private or group lessons, for players of all ages and levels.

A Fort Lauderdale native, John grew up playing tennis and baseball. After college, he began what would turn out to be a nearly 40 year career in teaching tennis to all ages. His experience includes positions as Head Pro and Director of Tennis at various local clubs in South Florida.

Originally from South Africa, Dorothy played on the pro circuit early in her career, where she earned a WTA world ranking in doubles. 

 

With 20+ years of teaching experience, Dorothy has worked with the Van Der Meer Tennis Academy in South Carolina, the National 12&Under team in South Africa, and has held positions with several private clubs.

At a young age, an injury to her right arm forced her to learn to play tennis with her left hand. This unique ability gives her insight into teaching proper technique for both right-handed and left-handed players.

Dorothy holds the Elite Professional certificaiton from the USPTA, as well as the USPTR Professional certificate.
